Semiotics Principles

This project requires students to produce a visual representation that communicates students’ experiences of online learning using semiotic principles.

Procrastination

Sama Abdou and Esraa BinRajab

This project presents online learning as an overwhelming digital system that traps students in cycles of procrastination, using a maze-like technological environment filled with deadlines, notifications, and tasks. Through semiotic elements and visual contrast, it highlights the psychological pressure and loss of control experienced by students in virtual learning spaces.

Online Learning in Times of War

Noof Bucheeri and Krisha Dagha

This project explores the contrast between war and online learning, positioning digital education as a space of continuity, safety, and hope amid disruption. Through symbolic imagery and strong visual contrasts, it communicates how learning persists despite conflict, emphasizing resilience and the protective role of technology.

Typography

Visual Gallery: Magazine

This project requires students to design a professionally structured gallery book that showcases an artist’s work through strong typographic design, cohesive layout, and visual storytelling. The outcome reflects the artist’s identity and exhibition theme while maintaining consistency across both print and digital formats.

Activity Book Project

Esraa BinRajab and Sayera Nasrin

This project presents Gentle Healing, a mental health activity book designed to support emotional expression and self-regulation among teenagers and young adults. Through interactive tasks, character-based visuals, and color-coded emotional categories, the book creates a safe, engaging space that encourages users to explore and process their feelings in a creative and accessible way.

Digital Vector Graphics

Vector Character

In this project, students design a distinctive vector character that embodies a specific personality or theme, ensuring scalability and adaptability across multiple platforms for use in branding, storytelling, or product design.

Fashion Illustration on Fabric

This project develops fashion illustration skills and transfers artwork onto T-shirts. Students study garment rendering, fabric behavior, and texture, then apply their work to wearable textiles to convey style, mood, and narrative.

Basic Design

Charley Harper Vector-Inspired Posters

This project introduces students to the fundamental elements and principles of design in visual expression by challenging them to create a poster inspired by the vector graphics style of Charley Harper. Students will illustrate an animal, insect, or reptile using clean, geometric shapes and a restricted color palette.

Design Elements and Principles Application

This project introduces students to the fundamental design elements and principles and demonstrates how they work together in visual expression.

Color observation

Explore the relationship between color and emotion by creating artwork that intentionally uses color to convey a specific feeling or theme.

Trophy Development

his project tasks students with designing a trophy that integrates core design elements and applies a selected design principle to elevate the trophy’s visual impact and communicative power.

Concept Development

Product Redesign

In this project, students propose a redesigned version of ineffective market products with a plan to address their production flaws.

Redesigning Concorde Aircraft

Khaled Shafeei

This project proposes a redesigned version of the Concorde aircraft that addresses the original plane’s fuel consumption and environmental challenges through the concept of nuclear jet propulsion. Combining speculative design, futuristic engineering, and visual development, the project reimagines supersonic air travel as a more sustainable and economically viable experience.
